Wild Mushroom

Mushroom spawning on my rice hay planter beds? Are they edible?

I really have no idea since they just spawn by themselves for almost 3 or 4 days now, few are thick while most are thinly bodied. I checked the web and found out that one must seed mushroom spawn in order to harvest some. Since on my part, i never seeded any, i am quite weary to try eating this wild spawns else i might get poisoned. I’ll rather let them do their act and i think once the hay gets fully composted, they will eventually stop spawning.

I checked the net and found the characteristics of these wild mushroom somewhat similar to one mentioned below;

Now, it made me curios to checked is those wild mushroom are really edible… but how?

hello, haring ibon.

ano’ng kulay ng kabute? pag medyo maputi, that’s the regular kind. pag brown na mukhang huts ng katutubo, that’s the mamarang variety. both are edible at masarap.

chances are, mga edible ‘yan. it’d help to ask the folks nearby. they would know and they would probably ask for some, haha… alam din nila ang masarap na pagluluto.🙂

Haring Ibon

hi,

at nag karoon naman ako ng idea na subukan ang pag culture sa kanila. why not? one of these days i may do that😉

hello, haribon,

ang season talaga ng kabute ay july and august, pag tag-ulan. they grow on decaying grounds and surfaces. kasi nga ata ay dahil fungi sila?… incidentally, i wrote a post about them, the title is ang tag-kabute – one of my earlier posts.
